The answer to the above question, for many, is to commit their lives to building replicas for their homes of the original cpatain's chair from the deck of the Enterprise from Star Trek, the original series.

What cool guys.
perhaps even more sad than the fact that these grown men have devoted time and money to having a Captain Kirk Chair, is the fact that they wear Star Trek costumes.
Rock on, men, rock on.
If you wanted a futuristic chair, perhaps using a 1960's version of a futuristic chair in 2009 is not the best choice for giving oneself all the benefits of an advanced ass decoration.
