Pringles Onion Blossom

Apparently, when a Pringles flavor flops (and with the sheer number of flavors they're always putting out, it's no surprise that many do), all the canisters of chips are sent to the Dollar Tree. Every now and then, I'll see one there that actually sounds interesting.

The other day I picked up a can of "Onion Blossom" flavored Pringles. These are designed to taste like those "onion blossom" appetizers sold at places like Applebees and Chilis. Amazingly, they taste almost EXACTLY like a piece of onion "blossom" dipped in that ranchy-dipping-sauce they always given with them.

And just like the real thing, these Pringles get sickening fast.

Sadly our local Dollar Store went out of business, so I don't have the pleasure of failed-flavor products.

Though this does sound like an inspiring idea for a 2am blog post: "Product flavors that failed and why they sucked"

... or why their failure was a travesty that deprived future generations of delectable snacking pleasure.

Do you think that's where the Baconnaise Pringles will be found?

Very likely. Although Pringles already has a "Bacon Ranch" flavor that has been successful enough to keep it in the "regular lineup" of Pringles.

I had a dream last night that I found "Chicken-flavored Pringles"

it would probably be something like "Taco Bell Spicy Chicken Pringles" perhaps part of a "Fast Food Cravers" series of chips which would also include, "Burger King Cheesy Tots Flavor" and "McDonald's French Fries Flavor".
