Reveling in the Glory

For all the things that I hate about graduate school, there's nothing quite like that "You're so smart!" pat on the back that grades and teacher praise give you.

Yesterday I did my presentation on the socio-economic evolutionary bases of Mormon polygamy in the early days of the LDS church and now, and I received praise on the presentation from my professor, which I assume means an 'A' on said presentation, which is just another congratulatory confirmation of my awesomeness.

Ahhhhhhhh catharsis...

Glasses

My glasses are bent out of shape. I need to fix them to make them even semi-comfortable to wear, so I find myself without them as often as possible. I see people in the hall at school and can't say hello until I've nearly passed them, because until they're close enough to distinguish they are only semi-familiar blobs in a school of over 2,000 people.

My glasses store offers free repair and adjustments, but I haven't had time to go in and have them fixed during their normal business hours. I had a day off today, but because I wear my glasses as seldom as possible except for driving and TV viewing, I forgot about this.

This has been an issue for... over three months. I am that lazy and busy and have compartmentalized this very serious yet very trivial issue to such a degree that now, because I've worked so hard to deal with my "handicap," I find myself unable to truly solve the problem.

Taco Bell WINS

My New "Office"

A soundproof booth on the second floor of the psychology building. Used to be one of the research rooms, now it's not used for anything.

Fully equipped with a table, a chair, a light, and a bunch of electrical outlets!
